ELECTRIC CONDUCTIVITY DETECTION TESTS ON ANTISTATIC FLOOR
The Italian industrial sector is growing. Factories, industrial buildings, plants and chemical facilities are scattered everywhere in the country. Dr. Filippo Marotta, age 42, married with two children, and with a consolidated experience in industrial laboratories in Veneto, Piemonte and Friuli Venezia Giulia, believes the resin systems he has created are the solution for the needs of the growing industrial sector. Filippo founds PMC1981
RESIN COATING OF CONCRETE PIPES FOR SEWAGE CONDUIT
PMC’s first jobs consist in high chemical-resistant coatings for iron plumbing tubes. Next come the waterproof coatings.1982
FIRST RESIN FLOOR FOR INDUSTRIAL SITE
Companies begin to understand the usefulness of the innovative resin floors. Filippo travels to Switzerland to personally choose the first broaching machine to expand PMC services.1983
Technique and chemistry: two of the fundamental elements in PMC history. Market requests bring about the realization of two innovative materials: RECRE varnish with high chemical and mechanical resistance; and RIVEPAL, which can be in contact with potable water and food.1985
PIEZZOMETRIC TOWER BEFORE AND AFTER TREATMENT
The demand on the market is encouraging. The first big orders arrive in 1985 and Filippo’s son, Francesco Marotta, joins the family business after absorbing the knowledge and passion for this work from his father.1994
The business must stay dynamic and not just focus on what already exists. The PMC lab creates two new product lines, based on epoxy, a water-based emulsion resin: Wasserpox GB and Repowat are innovative materials for the Italian market.1996
The 1990’s are the years of orders from abroad. Here is the beginning of a close collaborative relationship with the Slovenian company, Rotomatika. This relationship is still vibrant today1998
Efficient results require feasible and quick solutions. Manual expertise needs to improve too. It is time the self-leveling coatings be applied while standing, rather than in the difficult kneeling position. PMC invents the spray-laying method with a self-propelled nozzle, of which it maintains exclusive use.2000
POLYUREA SPRAYING PHASE WITH BIMIXER PUMPR
PMC invests in modern technology and more efficient equipment, choosing the best machinery on the international market: a Swedish sander and an American waterproofing machine. These are modern technologies for the Italian market.2002
SELF-LEVELLING EPOXY FLOORING FOR CIVIL USE
Resin flooring in the living room? In the office? In a restaurant? PMC designers discover the aesthetics and wide chromatic range of this new material. PMC becomes a point of reference for interior design2005
PONTE DI SAN STINO
Filippo Marotta retires. Francesco takes over the business.2006
The following years are remembered for their challenges: supplying the underwater coating for the Porto Marghera docks, providing services for the American NATO bases in Vicenza and Aviano2007
Innovation comes as a solution to job challenges, like the long-standing issue with infiltration at the Verdi Theater in Trieste, which tests the PMC waterproof system. The test is “aced,” and the highly efficient material is subsequently used on many other projects.2012
Realization of floors in the new American base from the “Din” of Vicenza, a new challenge for us.2014
Restructuring at the American “Aviano” air base of 18 hangars under the DL “construction supervision” of the Navy, we learnt a lot from it.2017
FLOOR COATED WITH RESISAN, BACTERICIDAL EPOXY RESIN
Coating, waterproofing and restoring is not enough anymore. Today, companies and homes must be more environmentally sustainable. The PMC recipe is a significantly innovative product: RESISAN -- an epoxy bactericidal resin.2021
New great and important challenge at the "MOSE” of Venice. The organization is essential and very important when you work on such an complicated, difficult and demanding site.
